My Favorite Fun Free Knitting Patterns

Fun free knitting patterns for all to bring a smile to your facefun free knitting patterns

Anyone who reads this blog knows of my love for fun free knitting patterns. Over the years I’ve collected thousands of free patterns for knitting everything from stuffed animals to wacky scarves. So just for fun, and in time for the holidays, I thought I’d share some more of my very favorites.

All things smiley

I found these fun free knitting patterns for all sorts of things with the infamous smiley icon, and I was so excited I put them all together in a single article for your convenience. If you have kids who text or chat, they’ll love anything branded with so-called emoticons.

Knitted bow tie

If you’ve always wanted fun free knitting patterns for unusual items, have fun whipping up this bow tie. You can wear it yourself as a fashion statement or use it on a lil’ one — I still haven’t managed to talk my husband into giving it a try, though.

Really cool socks

There are so many free knitting patterns for socks that they get hard to tell apart, but you won’t have any trouble recognizing these babies. They live up to their name and really are cool: black socks with multicolored flecks that will appeal to you as much as to any teens in your house.

Cable fun fingerless gloves

When it comes to fun, free knitting patterns are the way to go. Not only are they, well, free, they usually feature the most interesting experiments and ideas — such as these fun and funky fingerless gloves. I did a pair for my teenaged niece and she couldn’t stop raving about how cool they were for weeks.

Camouflage pants

Camouflage is always popular, which makes these fun pants a great addition to any wardrobe. If you’ve never thought of knitting pants before, these free patterns for knitting are a great place to start. It’s actually not only easy but a lot of fun, and the finished result is pretty exciting.

So here are some more of my favorite fun free knitting patterns, and I hope you love them as much as I do!
